Envirothon

2025 Envirothon

Envirothon is a competition for high school students in grades 9-12 that builds leadership while cultivating environmental problem-solving, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) principles, experiential learning, and hands-on outdoor experiences. It is the only competition of its kind, and it happens across the country.

Students devote months studying and developing teamwork skills to prepare for the local event with focus areas in aquatic ecology, forestry, land use and wildlife. The winning team will represent Allegheny County in the state competition with an opportunity to compete nationally.
