Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program

The Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) is a new grant available to farmers in Allegheny County to fund the installation of best management practices (BMPs) and technical assistance. 

How to Apply

To apply for funds through ACCD’s Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program complete the following steps. 

Schedule a pre-application meeting with ACCD to look at potential projects, discuss application requirements, and complete the Plan Verification Form.

Complete an application and return to ACCD. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all the funds are expensed with funding awarded every 90 days.

Applicants must have an approved plan (Conservation Plan, Ag Erosion & Sediment Control Plan, Nutrient Management Plan, Manure Management Plan). You will need to contact ACCD to verify you have the appropriate plan for an application.
